ugh, so i've greatly grown tired of poker, i now suck at it, i no longer have the patience for it, and i'm not in the mood to think about it.
i don't like my circumstance, i don't like what's going on, and lately i've been feeling like crying. i jus wanna say "i wanna spend time with u!!!" I'm angry, i'm sad, and i'm tired of him straight up denying family parties. i kno this really should be on my private blog, but ths is all i can do righ now.
For me, the day goes by soooo slow, so i swear i feel like i haven't seen him in ages, and when i get to, it's not even for like 2 hours. physically it's 3 hours, but he falls asleep after 2... and then when it comes to the wknd, i don't even get to spend that w/ him.
i love him, but it doesn't feel like we're really in it righ now. ionno if that makes sense or if that's jus wut happens after dating so long. makes me not wanna say wut i wanted to say to him. i'm just sad, ionno if this is y i've been getting that random depression.

What's going on?
Last Thursday, after class, Andy came over for an In-n-out lunch and to help me assemble my dresser that had been laying in pieces underneath my bed. We were able to assemble the main dresser part and complete one drawer. Two drawers are incomplete and the fourth hasn't been started on. When he left for class, I started packing and getting ready to leave for my weekend to Redlands and snowboarding in Snow Summit. I was planning on leaving at 6, but as usual it took me over an hour to get ready and ended up leaving the house at 6:20. I planned leaving an hour early to give myself time to stop by the mall to pick up a couple gifts for both Jordan and Melissa, get gas at Costco across the street, and a last minute pick-up for the walkie-talkies at Andy's. Those things also took more than an hour and left my part of the valley 7:30ish. I stopped by Camille's to drop off her sweater and book that she left in my car last time we came back from Redlands and ended up hanging out a while and going with her to pick up Xavier from school. I can't remember what time I ended up leaving G-dale, but I arrived home 10 or 11:30. There was more traffic than usual probably due to the landslide that closed off part of the 57 S.
Once I arrived in Redlands I had to pack my things for our snowboard trip which was another hour or so of packing making me sleep late and thinking that mom would wake me up to get ready for leaving for the mountain. But apparently mom thought I would had woken up myself and came into my room when they were loading the car to leave. Ugh, so I had to rush getting ready with about 5ish hours of sleep. gah I love my sleep, so I tried to get sleep in the car, but the position I was in in the way back seat wasn't good enough to get some. I was tired when we arrived at Snow Summit, but we were in the main parking lot.
I got a snowboard class. It was cool and it was great to learn how to do new things, I'm not saying I learned to do them all, but it was fun trying despite the bad falls attempting any maneuvers that involved toe-side. eeek. We did many runs in a row. I can't believe how many we were doing and I wasn't tired after the first, or the second, or the third, or however many we did. Even after the class I wasn't tired and I wanted to continue boarding, but I knew I hadn't had a proper meal yet the day and should eat and rest before heading back up. Ate and Jamie were trying to teach Jordan to snowboard at the bottom of the slope near the picnic tables. Jordan was doing well haha. Then I let Ate borrow my snowboard to kinda show Jordan what she might had known, but she didn't do too great. After sharing a burger, chicken and fries with Ate, Mom, Jordan, and Jamie, me and Jamie did a run down the bunny slope. He did okay and fell a couple times, including when he came off the lift even though he fell way far enough away from the lift landing.
I did falling leaf all the way down and practice links, which I did 1.5 times hahaha. I wanted to practice the other things I learned from class other times down. Things I still need to practice is my C-turn/carve, toe-side, and toe-side falling leaf. Next time I go I wanna practice all these things. After this run, me and Ate took Jordan to the conveyor belt side where the slope is mostly empty and the few that populated it were mostly beginners and kids, while Jamie did a couple runs by himself. It was great practice for him. There was one run where he went quite a distance without falling and with good stature. We did a few runs until mid/late afternoon when we got a bit tired and decided to rest for a bit and waited for Jamie to come back down from his run.
When Jamie met with us, I gave Ate my snowboard to do a run with Jamie while I walked Jordan up the foot of the slope to do one last snowboard run because he started to get cranky and needed a nap. Ate and Jamie took a long time because the line at the ski lift became long. When they finally came down we packed up and left Jamie to do more boarding while the rest of us checked in at the cabin, Jordan knocked out in the car before we even pulled out of our parking spot. After settling in our cottage Ate went back with her rented snowboard boots and my snowboard to join Jamie for a couple more hours of boarding. Me and mom watched the kids, but it was hard because I was tired, sore, and my tailbone hurt because a snowboard classmate ran into my ass while I was unbinding my boot next to the line of the ski-lift. Ouch. That and falling bad on my back a couple times were the most ouchies I incurred to. Here's to hopes of not having to succumb to these in the future. :)

That's me niece baby K, she's going to be dedicated in a couple of weeks and we're combining her dedication celebration with jordan's 4th birthday party. It's gonna be lilo&stitch/luau themed and my sister requested exmac to reunite for one last hula dance, so we practiced last saturday only to not be able to remember how most of the dances went. Instead of the 5 we did for the big lu'au, we're doing three: He Mele No Lilo, Pineapple Princess, and Rock A Hula. We practiced from about 4:30 to 8 and were able to rechoreograph parts of Pineapple Princess we couldn't recall. I feel the changes are better, now that we're older, we're more creative and made those parts a lil more advanced than what we prolly did as kids. Now what's left is to practice the new parts w/ X cuz he left practice early. We also need to practice it so that it's more fluid as well. Next time we'll begin work on He
Mele and hopefully will have learned all of it by the end of second practice.

Time Management
Tomorrow I'm readjusting my time management. I'm allowing myself only 45 minutes of Facebook at a time... I'm not saying today wasn't productive, I guess it was, I did the cover of Andy's Valentine. You know what, screw it, an hour at a time is still fine 'cause I did something I had to get done. The Lakers are beating Utah by 14 with 32 seconds left in the game, it's a win. I should probably tell Andy to take a shower now because I'm hungry.

Ed Hardy? Seriously?
So I listen to the radio online when I'm at home to save my computer's battery because my iTunes library is on my external hard drive and I don't listen to the radio in my car because I have XM. I opened up the radio player on KIIS FM and just before it gets to streaming live radio it plays a video commercial. This time it was a commercial for Ed Hardy. I see models dancing down the runway and doing a little routine when they get to the end, and I'm like, don't these people know Ed Hardy's for douches? No one likes Ed Hardy, yet people are still buying that crap. Ed Hardy is the official flag for "douche". Another thing I hate is the music that KIIS FM plays. Yes, I know I just said I went to KIIS FM's website to listen to it, but it's a habit. I mean, it's the biggest radio station in LA and it's my habit of putting it on. It's what I've been listening to since I could remember. They play the "hits", but unfortunately, unlike yesteryear, "the hits" suck. It's all crap. And I always end up changing it to another local station trying to find something good. Then sometimes I end up listening to my own music in my iTunes.

watching the superbowl makes me think of other sports finals like last year's nba finalss in which the lakers came out on top. day after the laker parade in LA, there were talks of anothere "laker" parade in disneyland in which laker players would be present. After attending the LA Laker parade, I drove to Redlands and went to the parade in d-land w/ my sister, jordan, and 2week old kalaya. Though the parade at d-land was just rumors, we aked an emplyee about the laker parade and he said that he hadn't heard anything about it. Apparently some employees didn't seem to know anything bout the parade, making us a lil nervous about there being no parade, but we saw many other ppl wearing laker attire. When we entered tha park, ppl lined the streets of mainstreet waiting for the laker parade which reaffirmed us that the parade was on. This picture is of 2 girls who made their own kobe mouse
ears, which attracted a disneyland rep. who asked them for their hats to give to kobe's girls.

More Macheads...
The MacExpo, MacWorld, was a place for all Macheads to gather and there you'd find ppl of many different races, and all sorts of different kinds of ppl. I imagine if you go to a windows expo, you'd find the "PC" type of character like the one in the Mac commercials.Users Group
Since there was a small group of Mac users and not much use of the internet back in the 80s, Mac users held meetings and formed user groups called BMUG, Berkeley Mac User Group. On the east they had Boston Mac User Group. At these meetings, mac users would exchange mac user info like tricks u can use to get around certain things and such and illegally exchange disks and share those things.
Fast forward to the mid-90s when windows 95/98/2000 came and dominated. There were talks of Apple may be going away. It was a hard time for hardcore Macheads who had been true to the mac since the 80s because a lot of the software that was coming out was only out for windows. At this time, Mac brought in a MacIntosh Evangelist to conserve the mac "cult" and bring the "good news" of mac by attacking ppl in the press who were inaccurate or unfair when reporting about mac. Apple had a bunch of bad CEOs and bad products, but the fans stayed together and brought up the spirits of the company to show that they had their support.
Just as Apple was about to die, Steve Jobs returned and put Apple in a new direction and came out with iMac. This was the first product I remember of Apple, with their colorful computers and no tower. The first time I saw this iMac, I thought it was so cool how the power button was like right on the keyboard, it made sense. I really liked the design of it, it was amazing. Jobs brought Apple back to life. Seriously, if there were no Apple, college would be harder than ever and very stressful.
The Church of Mac, "Praise Jobs!"
But a reminder to Macheads, Apple is a very secret and private company. They don't really reach out to the user groups and work with their community, and their own community has even sometimes angered the company because Apple puts out a product and says "isn't this great?!" but the community responds "Yeah, it's great, but why doesn't it do THIS?"
Generations
Change in user groups occurred because the younger audience grew up with the computer and they have the internet so they feel they don't need to meet with user groups to learn things. This generation is used to meeting online or talking through forums and aren't used to sitting together to talk. The internet "killed" Mac User Groups. These days kids just google for the answer to their question, but they won't come across other information they could get from a user that they never knew existed.
This kinda makes me wanna join a mac user group.
When Apple came out with the iPhone, they drew in many non-mac users. A lot of the people in line to buy the iPhone didn't own a mac or had only an ipod. I was surprised that the first person in line at a store, this was his first apple product. Some of the community feels that Apple is becoming a huge monopolizing business like Microsoft. Well, duh, love the community, not the company. It's the community that's cool, you gotta remember that Apple is a company and that's all they are and they're gonna act like any other company... making money is what it's all about.
Evolution
The New York Apple store opens to sell the iPhone and Apple employees walk out applauding everyone walking in to buy an iPhone.
Well. That's the movie. I just wanna say, I've been a fan of Apple since 2004, my first product was a pink iPod mini, I waited for them to release the 6Gig before buying, and then the following Fall, I had a mac of my own, a 12" PowerBookG4, after having to borrow Andy's 15" PowerBook, cuz my NEW hp had been doing those things you expect of a windows computer, FAIL. My PowerBook lasted me about 5 years until it started to have power problems, so last fall I got me the 2009 unibody MacBook just a week or so after it came out. Tip: Apple is always constantly coming out with new products, so if it's been more than a few months since they've come out with a computer and you're planning on buying a computer, waiting a few months more, they're bound to come out with another. Seriously, my powerbook lasted a long time and it seemed even longer because of all the products Apple came out with since I got mine, and the only thing I didn't like about my laptop is that it continued to run great, thus not giving me a reason to get the newest computer. So here I am now with a computer that cost $600 less than my PowerBook and it's a lot better. My PowerBook had 60Gig of mem, this is 250 and it's their lowest end computer! When I got my PowerBook, it was the cheapest of the higher end computers. As Apple comes out with new products, they get better and cheaper. So, just letting you know. :)
